Marta Borrego Mahiques graduated from Boston University with a B.A. in Neuroscience & Philosophy, and a B.A. in Psychology. At the Center for School Behavioral Health, she works with Dr. Schuster on two studies. The first investigates the effectiveness of deploying non-clinical peer workers to deliver substance use screenings with adolescents and the second study aims to investigate the effects of acute cannabis use on negative mood and suicidal ideation. Her research interests include risk/preventative factors in addiction and comorbid psychopathology, preventative care, and health equity.
