Luca graduated from Harvard University in 2025 with a Bachelor of Arts in Cognitive Neuroscience and Evolutionary Psychology. At the Center for School Behavioral Health, she works with Dr. Schuster on a range of studies, including research on the effects of acute cannabis abstinence on suicidality and depressive symptoms, efforts to optimize school-based substance use screening through the involvement of non-clinical peer workers, and a survey of substance use and related risk factors. Her research interests include youth mental health, particularly suicidality and severe mental illness, the interactions between substance use and mental illness, and the development of community-based interventions.
