Postdoctoral Research Fellow

Dr. M. Grace Albright is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. She received her BA in Psychology and Human Development & Family Studies from the University of Alabama and her PhD in Developmental Psychology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Dr. Albright’s research focuses on the implementation and effectiveness of school-based social-emotional learning and mental health programs. She is particularly interested in understanding how schools can adopt evidence-based, compassionate approaches to supporting students with behavioral and emotional challenges. Her recent work examines the implementation of the Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS) approach as an alternative to punitive and exclusionary disciplinary practices, aiming to improve school climate, reduce behavioral incidents, and promote equitable mental health outcomes for youth.

In addition to her research, Dr. Albright collaborates with state education agencies, school districts, and community partners to bridge research and practice, ensuring that interventions are both evidence-informed and contextually relevant. Her long-term goal is to improve systems of care that promote resilience and psychological well-being among children and adolescents.
